CAPTAIN |Radek Tomaszewski | Poland
Radek was born in Poland. He started his sea going career in the commercial industry where he worked as a
deck of􀃞cer on ice class ships in the coldest seas of Alaska, Norway, and the White Sea in Northern Russia. After
passing through the Oceans on the world’s biggest oil tankers, he joined the Expersea Fleet in 2010 and is very
excited to be at the helm of a legendary yacht such as Lauren L. During his free time Radek enjoys diving,
exploring historical towns and discovering local cultures.

PURSER/INTERIOR MANAGER | Daniel Maluleka | South Africa
Daniel not only comes with an enthusiastic personality, but also a highly positive attitude that transmits to the rest
of the crew. He knows the vessel well and has quickly become an effective member of the team. As your Interior
Manager, and with a hospitality background spanning 10 years, high quality service is what you can expect in
abundance. He will make all endeavors to ensure you have an exceptional stay on board Lauren L.

CHIEF OFFICER | Gabriel Mocanu | Romania
Gabriel is from Romania, and his passion for the sea started at a young age. Gabriel started sailing and working
on boats in high school which led him to study Nautical Science at Constanta Maritime University. After his
graduation, he served as a deck cadet on board passenger ships. Now, Gabriel is Lauren L’s Chief Officer teaching
his skills and knowledge to his own deck cadets. Gabriel is a professional and friendly person who enjoys playing
football, running and hiking.

CHIEF ENGINEER | Georgi Mandzahiev | Bulgaria
Born in a small town though presently living in Varna, Bulgaria, Georgi graduated from Marine High School in the
city of Burgas, Bulgaria in 1987. He continued his education at Naval Academy with a specialty in Marine
Engineering, which he completed in 1992 with a Master’s degree. From 1993 to 2007 he worked on board several
cargo vessels for Zodiac Maritime Company where he ascended to Chief Engineer. He has now been in the
yachting industry for 14 years, and his experience and professional attitude allow Georgi to provide guests and
crew with a safe and seamless time at sea.

AV IT MANAGER | Nicholas Kochs | South African
Nick is our AVIT Manager and network specialist from Cape Town, South Africa. With a strong background in the
yachting industry, he has spent the past 5 years onboard the vessel MY Lauren L, supporting IT systems and
assisting guests with their digital requirements. Throughout his 7 years in the industry, he have developed a deep
understanding of the unique challenges and demands of maintaining technology on luxury boats. With a passion
for technology, excellent problem-solving skills, and exceptional communication abilities, he is dedicated to
providing top-notch support to ensure smooth operations onboard MY Lauren L.

WATER SPORTS INSTRUCTOR | Warren Samuel | South Africa
One of our longest standing crew members existing in the fleet and we are fortunate enough to have him join us
for this season aboard Lauren L. He is a super keen water sports and event coordinator who is full of similes. He
is more than happy to interact with anyone and will most likely share a story from his many adventures from his
career as a seafarer. Please ask him for anything, especially any information regarding the best places to visit in
the Mediterranean.
DECKHAND | Cameron Reeder | South Africa
A well experienced waterman and keen adventurer. The beautiful South African coastline has been my playground
for the past 25 years. Surfing is his sport; it takes up most of his free time. He is a keen teacher for all water sports
and enjoys sharing his skills with people. He spent the last 6 years tour guiding and driving commercial whale &
dolphin watching tours, where he was able to gain great knowledge and understanding of the ocean. He is an
outgoing and social person who has great respect for others and always eager to learn more.

HEAD OF SERVICE | Susantha Marasinghe | Sri Lanka
Susantha Marasinghe hails from Sri Lanka, and has been working on board M/Y Lauren L for over a decade. He
knows this yacht like the back of his hand, and his expertise within the Service Department makes him an
invaluable crew member. He takes pride in being loyal and well organized with a great eye for detail. As is
evident in his longevity, he loves the yachting industry and will always give his best to ensure that you have a
memorable time while here on M/Y Lauren L.

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT | Delia Lorac | Australia
Delia is known as “Dee” onboard and is from sunny Queensland in Australia. She loves gardening, live music and
photography, but her professional experiences are all things administration. In Delia’s previous job, she was
employed for over 10 years by one of the largest manufacturing companies in Queensland. She was an Of􀃞ce &
Production Manager, managing a team of 30 staff. Delia’s journey to yachting has only just begun, completing her
courses in April 2023 and landing her 􀃞rst yachting job on Laurel L. Her love for work, travel and the ocean has
pushed her to make the leap.

HEAD OF HOUSEKEEPING | Roshani Gurung | Nepal
Roshani is from the country of Himalayas and while there studied hospitality management, but her love for the
ocean introduced her to yachting. She has more than 6 years’ experience in the yachting industry. Roshani is
very dedicated and ef􀃞cient head housekeeper, and she has professional and warm interaction with guests. She
also takes an active role in motivating the crew and training the housekeeping department. In her spare time,
she enjoys going for a quick run and to see places the yacht is visiting. She loves the idea of a new adventure,
meeting new people and still has many places on her bucket list that she wishes to travel to.

MASSEUSE | Sawinne “Was” Khammoon | Thai
Sawanni is known as “Was” on board here at Lauren L. She was employed from the owner over 11 years ago and
calls Lauren L her second home. At her actual home in Thailand, she owns many farms and has 2 children. She
began her career as a masseuse 30 years ago and has mastered the art of relieving the stress and tension of our
guests. In Was’ free time, she goes back home to look after her family – no relaxing for our hard working Was!

HEAD CHEF | Gavin Seymour | South Africa
Gavin is an experienced head chef who has been cooking for 20 years, 11 of which were on yachts and cruise
ships. He is excited for the Season on Lauren L and motivated to exceed guest’s expectations with innovative
cooking. His cooking style is technically driven, but he likes the food to come across “simple and not too fussy”.
He has a love of everything the Mediterranean has to offer with influences from Asia, the Middle East and a real
emphasis on vegetables and healthy vibrant eating.

SOUS CHEF | Santiago Amaya | Spanish
Santiago, born in Bogota, Colombia, is more than just a Sous Chef. Nick-named “Santi” on board, he has become
a favourite crew member at Lauren L. Santiago has a contagious laugh alongside his chef specialty of all things
pastries. Santiago has been named an encyclopaedia of recipes and we (and our guests) love him for it. Santiago
has another passion outside of cooking. In his spare time, Santi enjoys making & releasing dance music – a deep
house, techno inspired energy that lights up the night. We are very lucky to have him on board and are excited for
what else is in store for him.

SERVICE STEWARDESS | Marni Vollmer | Australia
Marni is from the island state of Tasmania, Australia. She enjoys the outdoors, live music, and anything to do with
the ocean. Professionally, Marni manages and part owns a restaurant in Tasmania. She partook in all realms of the
business, including coffee making, food preparation, service, behind the scenes work and managing over 20 staff.
Loving all things service and hospitality, she decided to venture into the world of Luxury Yachting. Laurel L is her
􀃞rst boat and she is looking forward to learning and giving the highest standard of Service.

HOUSEKEEPING/BEAUTICIAN | Yuliya Zaytseva | Ukraine
Yuliya is a 36-year-old certi􀃞ed beautician from Ukraine, and has been in the maritime industry for 13 years. She
has been a beautician for over 20 years but began her journey into yachting life 2 years ago. Prior to yachting,
Yuliya worked on cruise lines for 10 years as a quali􀃞ed hairdresser, masseuse, nail technician and beautician.
Yuliya describes herself as a perfectionist who has a passion for cooking, dogs and nature.

DECKHAND | Rahul Nair | India
Rahul comes from India, a land known for its vast traditions and cultures. Coming from a defence background,
he is adaptable to his surroundings and situations and no solution is far from his reach. He is compatible and
very social. He has participated in and won medals in a variety of sports at different levels. Rahul is high-spirited
and his ambition leaves him with high hopes of climbing up the ranks gaining maximum experience, exposure
and the best of memories while serving with a smile and to the best of his abilities.

HOUSEKEEPING | Shane Lois E. De La Cruz | Philippines
Shane Lois E. Dela Cruz is from Philippines and was born in 1999. She studied Bachelor of Science in Hotel and
Restaurant Management for four years. She went to Thailand for six months to do her Internship as a Guest Service
Agent under Front Of􀃞ce department. She worked in a 4star Hotel in Philippines for another six months under the
same department. She is now a stewardess on Lauren L and is very much exited to learn and grow more in the
yachting industry.
